Schedule of Classes, Certification Dates & Continuing Education Offerings

"MAKING THE DECISION TO GO TO ADVANCED THERAPY INSTITUTE OF TOUCH WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I HAVE EVER MADE. WITH THE TRAINING I RECEIVED, I LEARNED TO TAKE CHARGE OF MY OWN HEALTH AND AM ABLE TO EMPOWER OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. I RECEIVED LIFE-CHANGING RESULTS FROM INTEGRATIVE MERIDIAN THERAPY, AND NOW I AM ABLE TO DO THAT FOR MY CLIENTS.  SOMATIC TRAUMA RELEASE THERAPY HAS GIVEN MY CLIENTS FREEDOM FROM PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL PAIN THAT THEY HAVE CARRIED FOR, IN SOME CASES, DECADES.  KIM GREEN AND THE TEACHERS AT ATIT HAVE INCREDIBLE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE IN A WIDE ARRAY OF ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES. THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT THEY DO AND GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP YOU FULFILL YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ATIT TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN LEARNING TO CREATE HEALTH AND WELL BEING THROUGH ALTERNATIVE, NON-INVASIVE THERAPIES. "

JANUARY 2019 - Colorado Springs
January 15, 16, 17 ~ 8:30-5:30 (Part 2 - Stomach/Spleen)

Meridian Module IV– Meridian Point Work  (168 clock hours - $380.00 per 24 hour segment)
Students will come away from this module with knowledge regarding the anatomical locations of the Chinese meridian system and the ability to palpate and perform specific techniques on all 14 meridians over 7 classes.

Part 1 - Bladder/Kidney (24 hours)
Part 2 - Stomach/Spleen (24 hours)
Part 3 - Gall Bladder/Liver (24 hours)
Part 4 - Heart/Small Intestine (24 hours)
Part 5 - Pericardium/Triple Heater (24 hours)
Part 6 - Lung Large Intestine (24 hours)
Part 7 - Conception/Governing (24 hours)

This is an exciting module where we combine beginning techniques with more advanced and specific point work within the Chinese Acupressure system. Students also learn color light therapy techniques to use.  MIT has begun researching light therapies and shown them to be efficacious. Students go from a beginner’s touch to a much greater level of sensitivity by being able to track more than one system at a time.  This course provides the attention to detail in order to allow the student to feel the body’s tissues unwind, the energetic rhythms of the meridian system/acupressure points as it flows through the body, and the subtle joint movements as sinews are freed.  This attention to sensitivity creates a holistic understanding of the specific points, the meridian field, and finding a deeper understanding to the body’s subtle messages.  A strong emphasis on self-care is included in this module along with more meridian channel anatomy.  Different theories and philosophies will be explored such as Yin/yang, 8 principles, 5 element theory and what the energy channels govern are all covered in this dynamic course offering.  Students will also learn how to work with meridian imbalances and their specific role per the individual.  Abdominal assessment will be utilized in working with the meridians.  However, intuitive assessment by energetic feel will also come into play.  Individual courses in this module will cover two meridians at a time.  Again, strong emphasis in self-care is taught.  Pre-requisites:  24 hours each of MMI, II, III or Permission of the Instructor.

When students understand how they receive messages from other people they can in turn respond to another person’s verbal, energetic, postural, and somatic cues through intuition, visual structural imbalances and direct communication. This module’s goal is to open up the student’s senses as well as their cognitive skills and allow them to integrate these two dynamic sides of the brain. This class teaches how disease manifests in the body and covers epigenetic theory, chaos theory and adverse effects of trauma on all living organisms. We will also learn through interactive play the theory of the "felt sense. Bodywork techniques taught will focus on how to release clients at a structural/energetic/movement perspective simultaneously, spiral patterns, & felt sense. Strong emphasis is placed on self-care and somatic awareness in the students themselves. Pre-requisites: None

Feb. 19, 20, & 21, 2016  ~  8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Supporting the Immune System Through Bladder/Kidney Meridian: Chinese Meridian Accupressure and Color Light Therapy.

This is an exciting class where beginning or advanced students combine techniques with specific point work within the Chinese Acupressure system. Bladder & Kidney meridians are two of the most important meridians in the body and you can work on the whole system through just the Bladder Meridian. You'll learn color light therapy techniques to use on specific issues, potent point protocols and the incredible Shu Points that help boost immune function. MIT has begun researching light therapies and have shown them to be efficacious. ATIT is on the cutting edge of this old therapy with new ways of utilizing it.

In this class, students go from a beginner’s touch to a much greater level of sensitivity by learning how to track more than one system at a time. This course provides the attention to detail in order to allow the student to learn how to help multiple systems of the body at one time. In most western modalities we only learn how to impact one system which compartmentalizes the body. In this class you'll be experiencing and learning how to enhance multiple systems at the same time including the structure, the acupressure system, the sinew structure, the viscera, the energetic body, the light body and potent points to help balance multiple systems at once instead of compartmentalizing by addressing only one system at a time.

Learn to feel how the body’s tissues unwind, engage the reflex arcs to release multiple structures, feel the energetic rhythms of the meridian system/acupressure points flowing through the body, and learn the subtle joint movements as sinews are freed and how to affect the physical and energetic bodies. This attention to sensitivity creates a holistic understanding of the body and allows the students to find a deeper understanding of the body’s subtle messages by learning the body's own unique language.

A strong emphasis on self-care is included in this module along with more meridian channel anatomy. Different theories and philosophies will be explored such as Yin/yang, 5 element theory and what the energy channels govern are all covered in this dynamic course offering. Students will also learn how to work with meridian imbalances, potent points and their specific roles. Individual courses in this module will cover two meridians at a time allowing for in-depth training. Again, strong emphasis in self-care is taught. Pre-requisites:  Permission of Instructor.

Join us for an exciting class: part 1 of 7 in the series.

"The Doctors told me I would be disabled and unable to work the rest of my life because of Cranial Neuropathy and my mother was injured as well.  IMT rehabilitated my mother and stopped my excruciating pain and disability.  I knew I had to learn it to help others in return. It saved my life!"  T.L.
"It's been wonderful learning at ATIT.  The school keeps up to date on research and cutting edge therapies that you cannot learn anywhere else. The knowledge, genuine caring and intuitive compassion in this school is beyond words." E.P.
Kim & her school are amazing!  She is a wise, thorough and patient teacher, with gentle  and effective techniques and her students are excited to learn and grow.  They come out of school with the skills to really help people! Brenda Feller, MS, PT - 28 years
