ATIT's Foundation For Growth - Helping One Person At A Time!
Join Us In Creating Ripple Effects...
ATIT's Foundation For Growth (FFG) is a newly forming nonprofit in the Pikes Peak Region which pledges to help one person at a time. We believe that regardless your story, everyone can live to their fullest potential. FFG serves people whose lives have been impacted by human trafficking, war, PTSD, death of a loved one, suicide, health issues, foster families that are in crisis and many other diverse groups that are in need of holistic approaches to well-being.
FFG is currently in the process of forming itself as a 501(c)3 nonprofit under the Internal Revenue Service. Our vision is to work with all populations that seek assistance to enhance their lives and live to their fullest potential. We are based in Colorado Springs and are hoping to replicate this project on a national level.
This nonprofit was conceptualized purely by accident after a talk at a forum on Human Trafficking by Advanced Therapy Institute of Touch's Founder, Kim M. Green. She was there presenting on how trauma effects the human body, increases the possibility of addiction, creates disease through chemical imbalance and increases dysfunction in the lives of people suffering from various traumatic events. The professionals attending had decades of experience in working with their specific populations, but many had never heard the information presented. Quite literally they asked. "Where have you been because this makes sense to us. Can you help our victims?" ATIT's students and Kim went back to the school that night and discussed how they could help these victims, organizations and professionals in their earnest request for assistance. That night Nate, Sonja, April, Heather and Kim made a commitment that this nonprofit should be formed.
Alternative therapies have not been widely accepted in the mainstream until recently as research is only now showing how efficacious they truly are. Because of this, most bodywork is unknown to many mainstream professionals. Bodywork caregivers historically have donated countless hours helping people in their personal practices. They were acts of love that were given when nobody else was looking. Most bodyworkers practice this way their entire careers, including the students and staff at Advanced Therapy Institute of Touch. This labor of love turned into an idea of bringing alternative therapies to other nonprofits that might want these therapies for their clients, but do not have the resources, programs, staff or expertise of training to implement them.
We are looking forward to helping one person at a time in changing lives and helping everyone live to their fullest potential.
Blessings,
